Lowell McKelvey

Lowell is a respected and sought-after trial lawyer, with experience and accolades on both the defense and plaintiff sides. He’s been a prosecutor, an insurance defense lawyer, and a plaintiff’s lawyer. He is also a licensed Realtor. Lowell therefore has a rare knowledge of both sides of the law, which gives him the advantage of truly understanding his client’s cases and allowing Lowell to get his clients the award /results they deserve.  He is AV Preeminent rated with Martindale Hubbell, meaning his peers have judged him to be of the highest level of professional excellence.

Lowell began his legal career as a prosecutor where he learned the art of persuading a jury. He then moved to civil insurance defense, where he defended personal injury and construction defect cases for insurance companies for over ten years. Lowell learned how insurance companies evaluate their cases and how to speak their language, a huge advantage when dealing with them for his injury and construction defect clients today. Insurers know that Lowell will be tough but fair, because they’ve worked with him. This allows Lowell to cut through the BS and get to the resolution that his clients deserve. More recently, Lowell became a licensed Realtor and began representing clients in real estate matters, especially in the Columbia River Gorge where he lived for four years and formerly had an office. As a trial lawyer, Lowell helps clients in Oregon and Washington with personal injury, wrongful death and construction defect cases. He also works with Chris Burke assisting clients with real estate deals, boundary disputes and easements.

Lowell is a former whitewater raft guide, reformed whitewater kayaker, downhill skier and general outdoor enthusiast. He has a teenage daughter who keeps him real.
