Jodie has a civil litigation insurance defense practice with experience representing individuals and businesses in general negligence, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, and construction defect matters. She has tried and arbitrated cases in Oregon, and is skilled in preparing and arguing trial motions in state and federal courts, taking and defending depositions, and preparing witnesses and experts for depositions and trials. Jodie was born and raised in Illinois, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and graduated from Willamette University College of Law. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for Judge Claudia M. Burton, of the Marion County Circuit Court of Oregon.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys cooking and traveling. Away from the office, you can find her exploring the bounties of Oregon’s artisan food and craft beverage scene with her husband John. They have two Wakon Giant Alaskan Malamutes and are partners in a Portland, Oregon taproom, bottle shop and growler bar, and craft brewery in Hood River, Oregon
